The Shanghai Hanyu evanescent-field-technology all-fiber polarizer is made by specially treating the cladding of a short section of fiber, replacing the original cladding with a substance capable of selecting polarization states, and finally forming the product through a strict packaging process. The treated short section is called the polarization zone. When ordinary light with two polarization states passes through the polarization zone, one polarization state of the single-mode fiber is highly attenuated, while light of the other polarization state can pass with virtually no attenuation. The extinction ratio of the evanescent-field-technology all-fiber polarizer can be as high as over 50dB, while ensuring that the light of the desired polarization state can be transmitted with extremely low loss. As a non-invasive fiber processing technology, the evanescent field technology can completely ensure that the fiber core is not affected in any way, thereby ensuring truly high-performance fiber transmission. The Shanghai Hanyu series fiber polarizers can polarize light of any wavelength passing through Corning SMF-28 fiber in the wavelength range from 1280nm to 1640nm. For SM/SM devices, typically, the extinction ratio and insertion loss increase with wavelength. The technical specifications provided by our company are measured within a defined wavelength range. If the device operates at other wavelengths, the specifications will vary slightly. Polarizers with PM fiber input and output can provide a flat polarization extinction ratio over the entire wavelength range, which is very useful for some related applications.
