Chromaticity and Luminance Measurement Conoscope
Chromaticity and Luminance Measurement Conoscope The picture uniformity and color accuracy of AR/VR glasses are key dimensions for measuring product quality. A conoscope is a precision optical instrument specially designed to measure the angle-resolved luminance and chromaticity of near-eye display systems, capable of capturing the output characteristics of displays and optical waveguides at different viewing angles. The conoscope designed by Zizaichuanshang Optics combines an ultra-wide-angle fisheye objective (±60° field of view) with a precision beamsplitting system and a high-speed CMOS sensor, acquiring the luminance, chromaticity and contrast distribution data at all angles across the entire eyebox in a single shot. Our conoscope features high dynamic range (HDR) imaging capability, precisely measuring the full range from dark-field light leakage to peak brightness; a built-in standard color calibration database ensures chromaticity accuracy ΔE<0.5. The device can output luminance uniformity cloud maps, color gamut coverage maps and luminance attenuation curves at specific viewing angles, helping engineers quickly locate problems such as edge color shift, local vignetting or light leakage. It is suitable for optical parameter calibration during R&D and functional sampling tests on mass production lines.
