The SWI-DV series high-precision vertical lift stages achieve long-travel, precise vertical motion at the lowest possible profile height. Three different models offer different travel and load capacities, and each model has multiple configurations, making the SWI-DV series the ideal choice for all high-performance vertical motion applications. ■ Exceptional fast positioning capability Unlike conventional vertical lift stages driven by AC/DC servo motors, the SWI_DV series vertical lift stages use coreless segmented torque motors with a specified preloaded precision ground ball screw drive. Coreless segmented torque motors offer high moment of inertia, excellent acceleration performance, fast dynamic response and high control resolution; combined with a crossed-roller sliding-friction bearing system, they achieve extremely smooth motion and outstanding high dynamic response. A specially developed electromagnetic brake provides excellent power-off protection. ■ Long-travel vertical lift motion in a low profile Unlike other types of vertical motion stages, the SWI-DV uses coreless segmented torque motors with precision ground ball screws, combined with a crossed-roller sliding-friction bearing system, achieving extremely smooth motion and outstanding high dynamic response. The mechanism directly drives the moving carriage, achieving long travel while maintaining minimum height. The design that minimizes working point height further reduces Abbe error, thereby helping improve overall system accuracy. ■ Outstanding dynamic performance The SWI_DV series vertical lift stages use SP-grade crossed-roller guideways and precision ground ball screws, providing excellent geometric performance and outstanding minimum incremental motion. Compared with other products using rolling-friction bearing systems, the application of coreless segmented torque motors with millisecond-level control response provides outstanding dynamic response while maintaining minimum incremental step of better than 30 nm and positioning stability. This makes the SWI_DV series vertical lift stages the ideal choice for many high-precision motion applications, such as vertical positioning of sensors and cameras, optical focusing and optical interferometry. ■ Flexible system design The SWI-DV series can be seamlessly integrated into multi-axis motion platforms, motion systems and equipment. It can be mounted directly on the SWI-SL and SWI-LM series stages developed by BHC, and is available with optional work surfaces on which various rotary tables or other process equipment can be integrated for rapid system setup and development.
