The WSS-2000 is a programmable optical wave processor based on Santec's proprietary Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCOS) technology. With high flexibility, users can program various optical filtering, attenuation and switching schemes, and the unit also offers an optional phase modulation function. The WSS-2000 can be used as an optical equalizer for high-speed signals in next-generation optical fiber networks, as an adaptive multi-channel filter for advanced optical fiber transmission systems (DWDM, OFDM), as a flexible test and measurement system, or as a WSS emulator.

Overview

The WSS-2000 is a programmable optical wave processor based on Santec's proprietary Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCOS) technology. With high flexibility, users can program various optical filtering, attenuation and switching schemes, and the unit also offers an optional phase modulation function.
