Ultraviolet calcium fluoride crystal
UV-grade calcium fluoride crystal: UV-grade calcium fluoride (CaF₂) is an ultrahigh-purity, high-performance synthetic optical crystal and an indispensable strategic material for deep-UV applications. Its key value is an extremely wide transmission range of 125 nm ~10 μm, with especially high transmission in critical UV bands. Compared with ordinary materials, it offers a very high laser damage threshold, low absorption and strong resistance to color-center formation, ensuring stable performance under high-energy UV irradiation. Its low thermo-optic coefficient makes optical performance nearly insensitive to temperature. Production requires technically demanding ultrapure feedstock purification, precision crystal growth and complex annealing, at high cost. It is an important indicator of a country's technical capability in advanced optical materials.
