Laser beam analysis complements power or energy measurement, providing useful additional information such as spatial energy or intensity distribution, beam width, centroid, ellipticity and orientation to determine whether a laser system is operating optimally. BeamTester™ beam-quality analysis software uses a research-grade camera to capture beam cross-sectional images and computer-assisted calculations to quantify more than twenty indicators, including convergence, energy distribution, beam diameter and width. Statistical reports can be generated and exported from these measurements, together with beam cross-sectional images, allowing users to evaluate laser or other source beam quality quickly and accurately.
