Vertical office/security/elevator communications benefit from flame resistance, low smoke for evacuation and long-distance single-mode transmission reducing repeaters. A major-city complex connects3underground levels to50aboveground floors, providing high-speed coverage and passing fire acceptance. (III)Data centers/cloud: Server interconnects and external DCI use100Gbps-or-higher single-mode bandwidth. SWA is shielding equipment EMI; HOFR meets environmental/fire needs such as LEED. A cloud-base fiber backbone provides low-latency inter-room data for high concurrency. (IV)Energy/chemicals/industrial control: Workshops/tank areas face corrosion, heat and flammability. DCS/PLC signals benefit from acid/alkali/aging-resistant HOFR and corrosion/impact-resistant SWA. A petrochemical-park example links workshops/control rooms over 15km for status/control under high temperature/humidity.

Key Features

(I)Flame retardance/environment: HOFR meets GB and international IEC60332-1-2(single-cable vertical burning), IEC61034(smoke density) and IEC60754(halogen-acid gas release). Low smoke and no toxic gases suit tunnels, high-rise shafts and operating rooms. (II)Transmission: Low-loss, low-dispersion single-mode fiber plus shielding/protection provide stability. Across1260nm~1650nm, stable attenuation reduces long-distance losses/repeaters. Steel-tape armor supplies mechanical protection and is shielding EMI/RFI from industrial/high-voltage sources to preserve data. Bandwidth of tens of THz supports5G backhaul, DCI and HD video with expansion capacity. (III)Mechanics/environment: Strong tensile/bend performance, static radius≥10D and dynamic≥20D, where D is cable diameter, suits confined routing. Crush resistance≥1000N/100mm withstands duct pressure. HOFR/armor suit direct burial with soil/moisture resistance, aerial UV/weather exposure, and indoor ceilings/shafts with heat/aging resistance, without extra protection, lowering construction/maintenance costs. (IV)Deployment/maintenance: Typical diameter≤12mm and weight≤150kg/km permit ducts, direct burial, aerial routes or trays. Clear jacket markings include model, specification, length and manufacturer for identification/traceability. Durability lowers failures; single-mode compatibility permits capacity/equipment upgrades by changing terminals without replacing cable, reducing lifecycle cost.
