Overview

The Bruker MPA II near-infrared spectrometer draws on nearly 40 years of FTIR and FT-NIR design and manufacturing experience in Bruker's spectroscopy division. Strong expansion flexibility and excellent performance set new standards for FT-NIR analysis. High-performance accessories and flexible operation support method development* for laboratory and process analysis, meeting research and production QA/QC needs. A modular design allows individual configuration for each analytical task.

Key Features

1. Expanded capabilities: Selecting the best measurement method is crucial for application development. MPA II handles routine QA/QC and complex method research. When the best initial method is uncertain, try several and select the best result. Liquids can be measured in sample-chamber vials/cuvettes or with a fiber probe immersed directly in the container. Bulk blended pharmaceuticals can be analyzed with a solid probe or in vials using an integrating sphere. Granules, powders, pastes and creams can use the sphere or solid diffuse transmission. Finished tablets can use solid diffuse transmission with an autosampler. Modular design offers multiple methods and easy adaptation. Compact, robust construction suits laboratories and factories, or mobile use on a utility cart. 2. Innovative professional technology: Current NIR technology provides excellent performance/stability. A long-life source improves durability and reduces maintenance. A durable solid-state laser improves wavenumber accuracy. The permanently aligned RockSolid™ interferometer uses gold-coated three-dimensional corner cubes for precise results, fewer failures and stability. A sensitive InGaAs detector provides linear response across the full band for accuracy and reproducibility. Online diagnostics continuously monitor all optics and immediately notify users when components fall outside specifications. 3. Convenient maintenance: User-oriented design saves maintenance time/cost. Consumables such as laser tubes and sources have long life; when replacement is needed, the system prompts users and supplies online help. Prealigned consumables permit quick replacement. Ethernet/LAN or network access enables remote control and diagnostics. 4. 10-year warranty: The MPA II FT-NIR spectrometer provides a 10-year warranty on interferometer moving parts and the solid-state laser. 5. Simple control: An intuitive workspace, simplified measurement modes and guidance enable standard analysis setup in OPUS. One mouse click or touch starts measurement. The control panel directly shows instrument status and test completion, allowing even untrained users to operate it easily. Optional expansion modules give FT-NIR flexibility for varied sample states and application development.
