The components used in optical modules include TOSA (Transmitting Optical Sub-Assembly), ROSA (Receiving Optical Sub-Assembly) and BOSA (Bi-Directional Optical Sub-Assembly). An optical module is a type of connection module that performs photoelectric conversion, in which the transmitting end converts electrical signals into optical signals; after transmission through the optical fiber, the receiving end converts the optical signals back into electrical signals, thus enabling propagation through the optical fiber.
