Fiber Coating
Optical fiber coating is the addition of an optical coating on the end face of an optical fiber (pigtail) and jumper to add laser transmission or reflection functions. Such products are specially designed for high-power laser coupling and transmission. Optical coatings have very high requirements for the smoothness and cleanliness of the optical fiber end face, which places new requirements on bare optical fiber end-face processing technology. In addition, coating materials and coating processes greatly affect product quality; only by selecting appropriate coating materials and processes can the firmness of the coating layer, low thermal absorption rate of the coating layer, and high laser damage threshold be ensured.
