A long-wave infrared lens is a thermal imaging optical component operating in the long-wave infrared spectral band. Its core function is, through infrared optical materials adapted to the long-wave infrared band (such as germanium, chalcogenide glass, etc.) and special coating designs, to achieve infrared thermal radiation imaging in the 8-14μm band. It can form a clear thermal image by detecting the infrared thermal radiation of an object in completely dark and harsh weather (rain, snow, fog) environments, and features all-weather operation, anti-interference, and strong concealment. Long-wave infrared lenses need to be adapted to long-wave infrared focal plane detectors.
Thermal imaging surveillance, automotive night vision, industrial temperature monitoring, fire rescue
Working wavelength 8-14μm, compatible with various long-wave infrared focal plane detectors; compared with imaging systems compatible with cooled long-wave infrared detectors, imaging systems compatible with uncooled long-wave infrared detectors have lower cost and occupy the mainstream market in civilian security and vehicle night vision fields; commonly used optical materials such as germanium and ZnSe. The thermal stability (thermal defocus resistance) of ZnSe is superior to germanium material of the same specification, and can adapt to stable imaging needs in different temperature environments.
