Glass lens
A glass lens is a transparent optical element made of optical glass. Its core function is to change the propagation direction of light through the phenomenon of refraction, achieving convergence, divergence or collimation of light; it is the 'core organ' of optical devices such as cameras, glasses, microscopes and telescopes. When light enters glass from air, because the optical density of air and glass is different, the propagation speed changes, causing the light to refract. The curved surface shape of the lens determines the direction of the refracted light: a convex surface makes light converge toward the center, while a concave surface makes light diverge toward the edges. Glass lenses include the following types: convex lenses, concave lenses, combined lenses, etc.
