Medical Optical Fiber
The material used to fabricate medical optical fibers has an extremely low volume-to-surface ratio, fast heat dissipation, and low loss, so the upconversion efficiency is high, the laser threshold is low, many output laser wavelengths are available, and the tunability is strong. At the same time, because optical fibers can transmit light and images and are flexible and bendable, they offer advantages such as miniaturization and integration. In addition, medical optical fibers have high electro-optic efficiency, with overall electro-optic efficiency of more than 20%, greatly saving power during operation and reducing operating costs. They are widely used in medical aesthetics, endoscopes, medical sensors, laser scalpels, and other fields.
