Fiber-Coupled Acousto-Optic Modulator (AOM) Module
Acousto-optic modulation is a physical process that loads information onto an optical-frequency carrier using the acousto-optic effect. The modulating signal acts on the electro-acoustic transducer in the form of an electrical signal (amplitude modulation), which is then converted by the electro-acoustic transducer into an ultrasonic field varying with the electrical signal. When light passes through the acousto-optic medium, the optical carrier is modulated due to the acousto-optic interaction and becomes an intensity-modulated wave carrying information.
