The PCU-200 is a polarization controller featuring a wide wavelength range from 1280 to 1650 nm, ideally suited for polarization dependent loss (PDL) measurements with either fixed or tunable sources. Integrated with Santec's high-speed Swept Test System (STS), the control unit automatically applies the Mueller Matrix to calculate PDL as a function of wavelength. For customers using multiple tunable lasers for multi-band coverage, the wideband PCU-200 option offers a low-loss, integrated polarization maintaining (PM) 1x4 switch. An additional feature is Santec's polarization searching and locking algorithm, which allows coupling of a single-mode source into a polarization-sensitive device such as a photonic integrated chip (PIC) with high efficiency.
