PBS cube
PBS cube split randomly polarized beams into two orthogonal,linearly,polarized beams. S-polarized light is reflected at 90deg angle while P-polarized light is transmitted. Each PBS cube consists of a pair of high precision tolerance right angle prisms which cemented together with a dielectric coating on the hypotenuse of one of the prisms.

The polarizing prism splits incident unpolarized light into two orthogonal components. P-polarized light is fully transmitted, while S-polarized light is reflected at 45° and exits at 90° to the P beam.
