Walk-In Sand/Dust Test Chamber
The walk-in sand and dust test chamber is suitable for mechanical, electrical, electronic, electrochemical and electromechanical equipment. It evaluates resistance to exposure to dry sand or dust-laden atmospheres and the ability to be stored and operated under those conditions. Its construction and operating principle follow GB4208-93(IEC60529-2001), with an added airflow heater for use at low ambient temperatures or high humidity. In operation, dried standard talcum powder is loaded at 2kg/M3, followed by the specimens. A fan then creates a high-density dust cloud in the working chamber for the preset duration, generally 8h.
