Our splitters can be configured with different center wavelengths and fiber types to achieve customer-specified splitting ratios. They use fiber-fusion technology to divide power from one fiber equally or proportionally among outputs, or to combine light from multiple fibers into one fiber in reverse operation, with high transmission efficiency. Available splitting/coupling ratios include 50:50, 10:90, 15:85 and 1:99, with selectable wavelengths from 400-2000nm. Customization includes coupling structures such as 1x2, 1x4 and 2x2, power, wavelength, coupling ratio and connectors.

The high-power polarizing beamsplitter cube comprises two precision UV-fused-silica right-angle prisms with special coatings on their hypotenuse faces, bonded together. It splits arbitrary incident light into perpendicular linearly polarized beams: all P polarization transmits along the incident direction, while all S polarization reflects perpendicularly. Custom Tp:Ts ratios greater than 1000:1, 2000:1 or 5000:1 are available. Special bonding replaces conventional optical cementing to meet laser and cutting requirements. Extremely high temperature resistance and strong laser resistance are key features. Typical laser wavelengths are 266, 355, 450, 532, 633, 760, 767, 780, 808, 905, 1064 and 1550 nm. Laser damage threshold reaches 15J/cm2@1064nm, 20ns, 20HZ.

The nonpolarizing beamsplitter cube consists of two right-angle prisms with a metal-dielectric coating on the hypotenuse and antireflection coatings on all entrance and exit faces. Its NPBS coating keeps P- and S-polarized transmission and reflection within 6%. Custom NPBS cube sizes are available.

A conventional beamsplitter cube consists of two right-angle prisms. One hypotenuse face has a metallic coating or a highly reflective dielectric coating, while the other faces have AR coatings.
