N-BK7 and Fused Silica Wedge Prisms and Wedge Windows
Wedge prisms, also known as wedge angle prisms, are optical elements with inclined surfaces that deflect the beam path toward the thicker side. Their function is similar to that of optical windows. They can be used as isolation elements, producing slight deviation so that light cannot return to the source; used in pairs, they can serve as anamorphic prisms to correct laser beams or adjust the direction of the output beam.
