It supports SDI pathological patterns and includes a DFB laser, PIN photodiode, TIA preamplifier, reclocker, and MCU controller.

The board routes the QSFP28 electrical interface to an arc array of gold SMA coaxial connectors around the top edge and to a QSFP28 cage/connector at the bottom center, enabling signal-integrity, compliance and interoperability testing of QSFP28 modules on the host side.
